Winter Birthday Card

I made this card yesterday and am squeezing it in right at the deadline! The October ODBD challenge is to make a non-Christmas card with snowflakes. It also fits the Mid-Month Throwdown of making a winter birthday card.

I started with a cool Embossalicious folder that has all of that pretty embossing in one folder. How cool is that?! I gently rubbed a Powder Puff Lemonade ink pad over the snowflakes and punched out a snowflake to let the blue shine through. The sentiment is Gina K with some Triveni bling added.

Happy Halloween!

I'm not big on Halloween cards, but I did make a card with some orange. I liked the layout of this card, and decided to make my own version. It uses a Cuttlebug embossing folder and the stamp set/punch Petite Petals from Stampin' Up. I used SU Pumpkin Pie ink for the flowers and Memento Cottage Ivy for the Inkadinkado sentiment.

Razzleberry Easter

It's a bit out of season, but today I have an Easter card to share with you. I chose some Paper Studio paper for the background and accented it with SU Rich Razzleberry. The colors look great together. I even stamped the Hero Arts sentiment in Rich Razzleberry ink. This sketch is from OWH, bonus sketch 12.

Ball of thanks

I've been doing different versions of the same layouts lately. Here's one of them. The first one uses a Queen & Co. rhinestone baseball and the other uses a bunch of Inkadinkado sentiments. The stripes are Queen & Co. washi tape and the circles are done with Spellbinders.

Spin for your birthday

Don't you love spinner cards? This set from Stamps of Life is perfect to make one. I used ColorBox Violet, Memento Lilac Posies and SU Tempting Turquoise for the sentiments. The arrow was cut with a Cricut and colored yellow with Powder Puff Lemonade. For the background, I used a piece of Lily Bee and some brads from American Crafts.

Make a Wish

Today I have a card for you using OWH sketch 57. The small squares are Bella Blvd. paper and the large square is American Crafts. I used Spellbinders for the circles and a Paper Smooches sentiment offset with some Triveni bling. The butterfly is from Queen & Co.

Blue Miss You

I like how striking this turquoise is against the black and white. I took the idea from Pinterest and used Stampin' Up Petite Petals punch. The brads are American Crafts and the sentiment is Daisy Bucket stamped with Stampin' Up Tempting Turquoise. The black square was done with Spellbinders.

LOVE is all you need

I used OWH sketch B-18 for this card. The polka dot paper is by Dena Designs and the sentiment is by Rubbernecker. I originally used the paper for a few Easter cards. The ovals were done with Spellbinders and the bling is Triveni.

Work of Art Thank You

This card uses my current favorite Stampin' Up set, Work of Art. The honeycomb embossing folder is Darice and the inks are ColorBox. For the color around the edges, I used a Copic marker. The layout for this is right here.

Hello Friend

How's this for a bright card? I originally bought this piece of Doodlebug paper for the other side, but was really drawn to using this brighter side. With a piece of basic card stock to offset the pattern, I think it's nicely balanced. I used Tuesday Morning sketch 256 for the layout. The sentiment is Paper Smooches and the bling is Triveni.

Blooming Thank U

This card features the Stampin' Up Petite Petals stamp set and punch, along with SU inks Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie. I used an Inkadinkado sentiment and found the layout idea here. The orange ribbon is from my stash.

love you forever

I used OWH sketch 240 for this card. The patterned paper is from a crafty yard sale and didn't have a name on it. The sentiment is from the Impression Obsession set Truly Madly Deeply. I wanted to make it a bit more masculine so I used a Darice embossing folder to add some chevron texture to the mix.

Thanks so much

What a perfect way to say thank you during football season! I used an OWH bonus sketch with this cool brad from Karen Foster. It's got a nice heavy feel to it. The sentiment is actually from two different Paper Smooches sets. That plaid paper is from GCD Studios.

Out of This World Thank You

I've seen this layout/sketch several times and thought it would be a good one to show off this Creative Imaginations paper. The circles are done with Spellbinders and the Inkadinkado sentiment is stamped in SU Real Red.

A Beacon of Thanks

I love lighthouses and this card made me get out my Rubbernecker lighthouse stamp and ink it up. The striped layer is a piece of Basic Grey that I actually purchased for the other side. I used some scraps for the banners and the ribbon is from my stash. The sentiment is Inkadinkado.

This star misses you

This was fun to make and took a lot of concentration for that square. Thank goodness I have a clear ruler to make it a bit easier. The card here struck me as a perfect card for this Hero Arts sentiment. I used some Fawn Bazzill for the base and Dena Designs paper for the bottom and star. The lines were done with my Copic Multi Liner. To accent the sentiment, I used some Triveni bling.

You Are My Anchor

I made a simple card today using my new Lawn Fawn stamp set and matching die set. For the anchor, I used my Memento London Fog because it stamps with an odd pattern and works perfectly to make the anchor look aged. Mounting it on a piece of black and adding a pop of red with Triveni bling finished off this easy card.
