Many Butterfly Thanks

Today I have a card using OWH bonus sketch three. I mounted some Me & My Big Ideas paper on some purple Bazzill then cut out some shapes with a Spellbinders die. Those shapes were cut in half and stamped with an Inkadinkado sentiment. The card still looked a little plain, so I added some Triveni bling.

Love is in the Air

I enjoy using non-tradition colors and here is a love card in browns, green, white and black to prove it. I used a lighter brown card stock for the base and the white is all basic card stock. The hearts use dark brown Bazzill while the thin border layers are basic black card stock. The green is some pretty DCWV double-sided heavy paper I got for Christmas. I used Spellbinders for the hearts and a Hero Arts stamp for the love sentiment. The brads are black American Crafts.

This card is for the "Love is in the Air" challenge over at Cards in Envy. The idea for the design can be found here.

Clean Up Your Act!

Over on A Blog Named Hero, they're having a clean and simple challenge. Compared to some people, most of my cards are pretty simple, but they're rarely CAS (clean and simple). These types of cards take some thinking and planning!

Here's what I came up with for mine:

I masked off the middle and used Stampin' Up! Old Olive and Pacific Point inks along with some cotton balls for the background. Leaving the bottom mask on, I inked up Hero Arts Earth Flowers and stamped, making sure to have a few outside the background inks. Using the same ink, I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts Everyday Sayings.

Do you enjoy making CAS cards?
