It's been awhile since I've done a card for this challenge, but I'm doing my best to Finish Strong for Operation Write Home. The June ODBD challenge is to make a miss you card. For this one, I used some scraps of striped paper for the stars along with basic black and white. The bling is Triveni and in two different sizes. The sentiment is Hot Off the Press stamped in VersaMark Onyx Black. I CASE'd this card idea from here.

Simply the Best
I rarely do one layer cards, but when I saw this one, I decided to CASE it and see what would happen. Using my SU Circle Circus set, I began with some Fresh Ink Chocolate, added some SU Rich Razzleberry and finished it off with VersaMark Onyx Black. I thought about a sentiment for a bit and went with this one from Mama Elephant stamped in more Rich Razzleberry. I really like the simplicity of this card. I even stamped the envelope!

Ride On
I love the motion these three images creates. The stamp is from a Hero Arts set and stamped in VersaMark Onyx Black. I used some orange Bazzill from my scraps to really make the images pop. Using some baker's twine, I tied on a Hot Off the Press sentiment (stamped in SU Pumpkin Pie) and glued it down so it wouldn't tear off. I used this card for inspiration.

Just A Note
I like how this card turned out...love the pink and black together. But, geez, it has a lot of pieces and I made enough for 12 cards to go in my OWH box. It's worth it, though, knowing they're going to create smiles. I found the idea on Pinterest.
I used SU Circle Circus and colored a bit of the circles with Copic V05. Then they got punched out and mounted on black card stock. The pink paper is card stock from my stash. The white background square was stamped with SU Basic Grey and the pink was stamped with VersaMark. I used a DeNami sentiment. The circles and sentiment are popped up with dimensionals.

This card is way outside my comfort zone. It's so busy and I prefer much more simple. Do you enjoy venturing outside your comfort zone?

World Card Making Day with Paper Smooches
If you're looking for the OWH Blog Hop post, click here.
There are three challenges over on the Paper Smooches blog. Here's a card for two of them: use pink and a one layer card. I hope to get the third challenge posted later today or tomorrow.
I cut three squares in a piece of copy paper and used VersaMark ink to stamp the heart. (I have no idea where that heart stamp is from.) I used Stampendous clear embossing powder then a cotton ball with some Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo for the pink. The sentiment is Hero Arts.
I hope you'll pardon the shadows but the sun was shining through the window behind me. I won't complain about it, though, because we've been so lucky to still have it around here!
Happy card making!
