Monster Truck

I need to find this set again so I can post the name of it. It is so detailed and the die fits it perfectly, even cutting the door so it opens!

Just a wavy note

This was a fun set of cards to make using Echo Park Jack and Jill papers. The die is My Favorite Things Snow Drifts and the sentiment is Paper Smooches.

Blue hugs

I've been using a new Doodlebug 6x6. Here's one of the cards using Mojo Monday 444. The banners are made with matching Doodlebug washi tape. The sentiment is Paper Smooches.

Masculine Miss You

It's not easy to make a masculine card for me. They tend to be more unisex, or downright feminine. But I noticed in my last OWH box that I needed some more "miss you" cards. This is what I came up with. I used SU Work of Art stamp set for the chevrons, a Hero Arts stamp for the car and a Technique Tuesday sentiment. The orange is SU Pumpkin Pie. I think that embossing folder is from Cuttlebug.

So Very Thankful

My friend Kristie introduced me to this My Favorite Things quilt die and I had to have one for myself. I made these with one of the many 6x6 pads I have in my paper stash. The sentiment is from The Alley Way Stamps and heat embossed in black. The brads are American Crafts.

Circles Circles Circles

Like most paper crafters, I have a lot of scraps. It was time I used some of them. With some Spellbinder circles and an embossing folder, this is what I came up with. The ivory paper also has some ivy embossed on it. Triveni bling helps balance the whole thing.

Dot Flourish

This card was simply to make but looks so elegant. I simply made a circle stencil using a Spellbinder circle die and sponged ink onto the paper. The colors are Powder Puff Lemonade, SU Pumpkin Pie and SU Old Olive. Then I heat embossed an Inkadinkado Dot Flourish with some espresso embossing powder. Easy peasy!

Green Tree

I really liked this card I saw on Pinterest and needed to figure out how to make it since I didn't have that particular die. I found this Taylored Expressions die in my die collection and this pretty SU tree stamp that fit inside it. The Cuttlebug embossing folder gives the whole thing a kind of wood look. The tree is stamped in Memento Cottage Ivy. I was going to originally stamp it in brown, but thought it would look too much like a sympathy card.

You

This card features three stamps from the SU Work of Art set. I also used SU Rich Razzleberry ink. The yellow is Powder Puff Lemonade. I wanted to add some color inside the card as well, so I used the same stamp I used for the flower along the inside edge. The bling is Triveni. The original card is here.

Best Dad Ever

Since most of my cards are for the military, I tend to use more general sentiments instead of "Happy Father's Day." This particular sentiment is from Mama Elephant. Do you recognize that shield? It's Captain America. My dad recognized it when I gave him one of these with the Father's Day sentiment inside. The circles and star were done with Spellbinders and the background is dry embossed to repeat the star. Pinterest provided the inspiration.

Love You

Here are two cards with the same basic layout but different looks. Both use an old SU sentiment that's been heat embossed and both use the negative die cut for the word "you." The first one uses some old Recollections bling. The second one uses a Martha Stewart fence die and some Triveni bling. All of the papers were scraps. The layout for these cards was found here.

Cupcakes!

Here are two identical cards featuring different sentiments. So many cards can be used for different occasions just by that simple change. The cupcake is a punch from SU, the border is by EK Success and the label shapes are Taylored Expressions. As usual, the bling is Triveni.

Love Balloon

This card is simple yet elegant. It uses an old SU sentiment heat embossed in black and a dry embossed heart. I started with this idea and made it a bit more detailed.

Shaker Thanks

It's been quite awhile since I made a shaker card, but they seem to be all the rage now. This one uses a Spellbinders star die and sequins instead of beads. The polka dot paper is from Bella Blvd and the sentiment is TAWS. I believe the embossing folder is a Cuttlebug one.

Keep Calm

My godmother's granddaughter loves cupcakes, so I told her I'd make a few cards for her. This one was CASE'd from here over on Pinterest. The background is embossed with a Darice folder and the red patterned paper is a scrap. The cupcake is from a SU punch. The stamps are also from SU. I used Fresh Ink Chocolate and SU Real Red and added three rhinestones to balance everything.

Missing U

This was a fun card to make! It's so hard to find stamps that have a missing you sentiment on it and this is a fun alternative. It took a little longer than I planned. The Studio 112 alphabet I chose to use just didn't look right with the letters next to each other on the block, so I had to stamp each letter individually. When I was done stamping, it looked too plain and boring and begged for some texture. I used a Darice folder for that. The three missing "u" are stamped on the front corner of the envelope. Here is the card I CASE'd.

Petite Petals Miss You

This card is a pretty close CASE of this card. It features the Stampin' Up Petite Petals stamp set and matching punch. The embossing was done with a Sizzix folder and a Cuttlebug. I used some SU, Distress Ink and ColorBox inks. The sentiment is from Hero Arets and the bling is Triveni.

Flowery Thanks!

Here's a simple, fun card. I ran part of it through the Cuttlebug and punched out some white flowers with a SU punch. The brads are from a Recollections set. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado stamped in SU Pacific Point.

Missing you flowers

I found a pad of adhesive paper in my stash the other day and was excited to use it. It has some fun bright colors in it like this pink, blue and yellow. It was a little tricky taking off the backing, but totally worth not having to glue those flowers. The large flower was done with a SU Petite Petals punch and the small white center is a Recollections punch. The brad is American Crafts. I used a Darice folder for the embossing and a Stampendous sentiment stamped in Memento London Fog.

Some embossed love

Don't you love watching embossing powder melt? It never fails to make me smile. This time I used JoAnn Craft Essentials Red powder and matched it with a pretty heart brad I picked up at a craft show. The embossed paper is actually a light gray and the SU love sentiment is on white. I like how simple yet detailed this card looks. I got the basic idea for it here
