I have a friend who loves green and when I saw this green Echo Park polka dot paper, I knew I had to use it for her birthday card. I paired it with some green paper embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and used some black and grey polka dot ribbon to cover that pesky paper seam. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches. I added some white American Crafts brads for extra dimension. This card is not only perfect for her birthday, it's perfect for the current Cards in Envy challenge to Think Green and the Anything Goes challenge at Seize the Birthday.
Love this card! The bright green with the black trim is stunning and I love the embossed background! Thank you for sharing with us at Cards in Envy!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a bright and cheery birthday card. I love the repetition of polka dots with the paper, ribbon and brads. Your friend will surely love this card. Thanks for playing with us over at Cards in Envy.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of green and a big fan of this card! I really like it. I had to chuckle that you had to use the ribbon to cover up the pesky seam. I'm a seam coverer-upper too! I see other people butt their papers up together and flounce off without a care in the world and it looks good. When I do it, it just feels naked and wrong.
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice green card. Love the embossing on this. Thanks for playing along with us at Cards in Envy.
