Hey Buddy

Here's a bright card for you! I had fun making something so bright and yellow...it's definitely not a color I use often. I've paired these two papers together before and liked them so well that I did it again.

Both patterned papers are from Paper Pizazz. The yellow, blue and red are Bazzill while the black is card stock. I stamped the Paper Smooches sentiment on the textured side of the yellow. It makes it kind of bumpy looking which fits this card, I think. The red bling is from my stash.

Have you found papers that go well together and keep going back to them over and over?

Have fun today!

You're the sweetest...sketch 93

I've never been good at the whole crooked paper thing. I like my elements straight and even lol. So sketch 93 was a bit of a challenge for me.

On this card I decided to echo the swirls in the paper by embossing the white with my Divine Swirl folder. The DP are Paper Pizzazz and the sentiment is from Fiskars "The Sweet Life." Since there is so much pattern, I decided on just one little rhinestone for shine.

Hope you're enjoying your weekend.

Happy Valentine's Day...sketch 92

I know, I know...I'm a few months early, but sketch 92 seemed to need this stamp. I can't help it when a card chooses its own stamp.

The DP is more Paper Pizzazz and the sentiment is unknown. I have a few of those, but now I'm doing a better job of keeping track. I added a bit of bling down the strip to make it pop a little. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to place the sentiment. I'm finding myself using it a lot more now that I've watched a few youtube videos on it.

Do you ever have a card that chooses its own stamp?

Hello...sketch 91

Here is sketch 91. I used the same papers as the last card...Paper Pizzazz and Darice Pearlized White. You'll see a few cards with these over the next few days. I cut into those 12x12 pinks and wanted to use them up. I've had them for quite awhile.

I used Nesties to cut out the small shape then hand cut the black one. The sentiment is DeNami. The little bling is from my stash.

Enjoy your Friday!

Happy Birthday...sketch 90

Have you recovered from World Card Making Day? There were so many great blogs and so much inspiration. I had to take a couple of days off after last weekend lol, my brain was on overload.

Today I have sketch 90 for you. The DP is from Paper Pizzazz and the sentiment is Hero Arts. The white paper is actually an ivory color. It's pearlized white from Darice. Those little metallic pink things...I've had them forever. I got a whole bunch on clearance and couldn't resist all that shine!

Today I'm off to take my dad and stepmom to the movies. It's nice to be able to do those little things with the ones you love.

Happy Thursday!

I love you...and sketch 87

Happy Friday! I'm so ready for the weekend and World Card Making Day tomorrow. But for now, here's my card for today:

I used Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps Sketch 87 because it seemed so perfect to showcase these bright and colorful papers. Unfortunately, when I cut the glitter paper and rubbed the edges, the glitter came off on my fingers. So...I cut up the rest of it for my mom so she could make Valentine cards using this same sketch. We all know that glitter is a no-no for OWH. I did keep some of the heart paper to use later, though.

The heart paper is Paper Pizzazz and I fell in love with it because it's so garishly bright. I'm not sure who makes the glitter paper, but my mom got the pink, purple and blue shown here as well as some green and black. The sentiment is Hero Arts Year Round Sentiments. This is one of my favorite sets. Not only does it help support OWH, it has so many great sentiments.

I hope you get a chance to get inky today.
