Cards 4 Kids!

This week the Midweek Throwdown is Cards 4 Kids. My first thought was to pull out some of my Doodle Pantry ant digis and use those. I ended up using three images and making six cards with each one. I used a DeNami sentiment and the Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles embossing folder. The papers are all basic card stock and the sentiment is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black. The image is popped with 3M adhesive. The sentiment is only 1/2 popped since I wanted it to lay flat on the part laying on the image.

 Thanks for taking a peek.

Winter Greetings

Today I have a winter/holiday card for you. I used the current Freshly Made Sketches sketch 100. I started with some blue card stock and embossed it with my Cuttlebug Snowflakes folder. I'm not sure who makes the brown/white DP that I mounted on black card stock. The snowflake is done with a Nestability. A bit more blue layered on black makes a perfect spot for the Stampendous sentiment. The brads (yes, I know they're crooked, dang it) are American Crafts. The snowflake is popped with several tiny pieces of 3M adhesive.

Enjoy your Sunday!

"Hi" with triple stamping

I normally don't care for busy cards, but I like this one. I used SU! Circle Circus for the stamps. For the inks, I used Memento Grape Jelly and Lilac Posies, Brillance Pearlescent Jade and Pearlescent Chocolate, and VersaFine Onyx Black for the Paper Smooches sentiment. The sentiment circles are cut with Sizzix Circles die and are popped with 3M dimensional adhesive. The purple layers are purple pearl Bazzill. There is one thing I'd change, I'd stamp the "hi" on the card itself in a lighter color like grey, but alas, I didn't have that color with me at the time.

If you're interested in the dimensions for the layers, you can find them here.

Make sure to share your smile today.

Circles Galore!

I had so much fun making this card. I used SU! Circle Circus and Memento Lady Bug ink to make the background paper. It's mounted on black card stock as is the Stampendous sentiment which is stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black. The brads are American Crafts and the sentiment is popped with 3M dimensional adhesive.

Thanks for visiting.

You Rock

I started this card with the red and grey Fancy Pants Designs paper and worked my way from there. This paper seemed to scream to be a guy card, so that's where I took it. The dark grey is from DeNami and the light grey is basic card stock. I used the Diamond Plate Cuttlebug folder, then dragged my VersaFine Onyx Black ink pad over it. The sentiment is Paper Smooches and the brads are Recollections. The sentiment is popped with 3M dimensional adhesive.

This card fits perfectly with the OWH MWT and the extra little challenge of making a card a guy might send to a guy back home. Enjoy your day.

OWH sketch 185 and MWT

Here's my take on sketch 185 and the fall theme for the MWT. The top is DeNami gold paper that I scored every 1/4". The bottom is leaf paper from Karen Foster Design. Ribbon from my stash adds a touch of elegance. More gold paper is used to layer the DeNami sentiment which is stamped on Darice red pearl. I will have a total of eight of these for my next OWH box. The whole thing is popped on 3M adhesive on a white card base.

What's your favorite season to make cards for?

Sketches 107-111

Here are some more sketches for you. They all have the same basic papers...Bazzill, Basic Grey Lime Rickey patterned paper and some black cardstock. The ink is all VersaFine Black Onyx and the dimensional adhesive is 3M.

Sketch 107: This one uses the SU Hostess set Carry On along with some baker's twin.

Sketch 108: I used the "Love" set from Little Yellow Bicycle for this sentiment. That pink bling is from my LSS, Scrap That! She has them at her "mbellies bar" in a pack of 30. At least I think it's 30. It's a great concept...little goblets with individual items you can buy by the piece.

Sketch 109: Another one using a couple of squiggly brads from Scrap That! This sentiment is from SU Sassy Salutations.

Sketch 110: I used Love from Little Yellow Bicycle again for this card. It has some more of that bright pink bling on the tabs that were punched with the SU Modern Label punch.

Sketch 111: Last one for today. This sentiment is also from Little Yellow Bicycle's Love set. I usually never think to use the bracket stamp, but it seemed to fit this one.

I hope you enjoyed all the cards I had for you today. I think one more will make that bright patterned paper go away lol.

Sketch 105 & 106

It's time to start working on sketches again. The first one today is sketch 105. I started with some pink Bazzill and started using up my two sheets of Basic Grey Lime Rickey patterned paper. The sentiment is from the set "Love" by Little Yellow Bicycle stamped in VersaFine Black Onyx. I used Nestabilities to cut out the circles and a hole punch on some of the Basic Grey for the little accent dots. The sentiment circles are popped with some 3M dimensional adhesive.

Sketch 106 is my second card for today. I used the same papers for this one, with the addition of some magenta Bazzill. The stamp is from the same set as well. I cut out some of the circles from the Basic Grey paper and mounted them on some black circles I cut with Nestabilities. This time I accented the middle of the circles with some Pearl Pen.

I hope you're enjoying your weekend.
