I also combined the MWT with three sketches. Here is OWH sketch 5.
I used my new Hero Arts set Earth Flowers and stamped it in three different colors. I pierced around the edges and used a black pen to make it look like stitching because I wanted the stamped flowers to stand out a bit more. I'm not sure who makes the "missing you" stamp. The background paper is from DCWV and the pink on it is metallic for a bit of bling. The other papers are all from my stash and the ovals are a Nestability.
Next is OWH sketch 6.
The last one for today is OWH sketch 7.
This one made me think a bit since I'm not a fan of vertical sentiments. So instead of a sentiment, I used some Prima flowers with rhinestone brads. I ran the paper through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder. It's simple, but pretty, I think.
I hope you enjoyed my takes on these sketches. Have you been working on any?

Oh Cherie, I love your cards! I really like the OWH sketch 5 card. I have looked at that sketch a bunch of times and never could come up with something that looked good, but your card is perfect! Love that little monkey too, and I think your flower card is pretty. Nothing wrong with saying it with flowers! Thanks for playing in our Midweek Throwdown Challenge at Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps!

Very lovely! I like the first card the most. I like how you triple stamped that image. I also like how you did the faux-stitching. I don't have that tool but I'm thinking it could be a great addition to my collection. Where would I get one? Very good job on all the cards and using the sketches. I love seeing how other people "interpret" the sketches...
ReplyDeleteCindy,
DeleteThe paper piercer I have is hot pink by We R Memory Keepers and I got it at Michaels. Then I just took a thin pen and ran it carefully from hole to hole. I love the look!
Your cards are lovely. I too make cards for OWH. I'm sure these will go over big with both the senders and recipients.
