OWH sketches 150 & 151

Today I have the last two sketches for 2012, at least the last ones I could get done before my craft area became our Christmas tree area!

I used my Stampin' Up! I Dig You set for the first time to make this card for sketch 150. I like how the Teresa Collins polka a dot paper gives it a more girlish feel. After all, girls can like trucks, too. The brown paper is Bazzill and Nesties were used for the circles.

This one is sketch 151. The red paper is Bazzill and the black/white pattern is Femme Fatale by Recollections. The black and white circles were done with Nesties. I used red and black rhinestones from Michaels for the bling.

Do you have any crafty resolutions for the new year?

OWH sketches 130 & 131

It's time to backtrack to a couple of sketches I missed posting. Actually, I didn't miss them...I couldn't find them lol. They were tucked in the front of my card holding box so I wouldn't lose them.

For sketch 130, I started with some dark blue from DeNami and turquoise Bazzill. Using some Nesties, I cut out the polka dot circles from some Stampin' Up! paper. The sentiment is from Endless Creations. I used some clear embellishments I purchased at Craft Warehouse for the finishing touch.

Here is sketch 131. The papers are all Bazzill except for the patterned, which is from Memory Box. I layered a flower punch to make the flowers and used the same clear embellishments for the center flowers.

I hope you're enjoying the last few days of 2012.

Sketches 142 and 145 - 149

Moving right along with the OWH sketches! Here are several more for you. These use the same two patterned papers from Recollections, Femme Fatale and Purple Pinstripe, along with some cardstock.

Sketch 142: I really do like this sketch. I can't wait to use it again. This one uses a Lifestyle Crafts die and a sentiment from SRM.

Sketch 145: Here's another fun, easy one. The sentiment is Studio G and the bling is Studio 18. I love these two papers together.

Sketch 146: This one uses another Studio G sentiment and a Crate Paper brad.

Sketch 147: One of my favorite new stamp sets is used here...Epic Love by Hero Arts. The sentiment is stamped in Encore Ultimate Metallic Silver. It really pops on black paper.

Sketch 148: Two more stamps from the Epic Love set.

Sketch 149: The circle is done with Nestabilities. The dog stamp is Paper Smooches and the sentiment is Studio G.

I love the feeling of accomplishment when I finish up a piece or 12x12 paper, don't you?

Sketches 140 & 141 and 143 & 144

Today I have four cards for you and four more sketches.

The first two are sketch 140 and sketch 141. They both use Bazzill and a piece of double-sided Pink Paislee Taffeta paper, along with stamps from Chubby Chums by Paper Smooches. On the inside of the first one I stamped a cute chickie in pale gray. The brads are from my stash. The second one is colored with some Copics to match the papers.

Next is sketch 143. The white and light blue are Bazzill. The dark blue and silver are cardstock. Everything else is done with the same EK Success border punch.

Last for today is sketch 144. The yellow is Bazzill and the rest of the papers are cardstock. The sentiment is from Magenta and the flower sticker is SRM. The bling is by Michaels. The flower really does match the pink paper, I promise!

Thanks for stopping by!

OWH sketches 132 - 139

I've been working on finished the sketches, but I haven't been working on blogging them lol. So today I have a few more sketches for you. They all use the same basic papers: Bazzill and Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses, along with some cardstock.

First up: sketch 132. I turned it so the DeNami image would fit. It's colored with Copics and accented with three Martha Stewart pearls.

Next for you is sketch 133. The stamps are from Epic Love by Hero Arts and the embellishments are by Michaels.

Here is sketch 134. The stamps are Lovely As a Tree and Sassy Salutations, both by Stampin' Up! The bling is JoAnn Craft Essentials.

This one is sketch 135. The bottom patterned paper the back of the diamond paper. The stamps are Paper Smooches Chubby Chums and the pearls are Queen & Co.

Here is sketch 136. The hearts are done with Sizzix Double Hearts die and the embossing is Argyle by Cuttlebug. The sentiment is Studio G and the pearls are Queen & Co.

Next is sketch 137. Both of these stamps are from Hero Arts Epic Love. The border punch is Martha Stewart.

This is sketch 138. Yet again I used the Epic Love set and added some black ric a rack trim.

Last one for today is sketch 139. This time I used Basic Grey Lime Rickey paper and some SRM stickers. The die is from Lifestyle Crafts and the black embellishments are JoAnn Craft Essentials.

Whew! That's it for today. I'll have a couple more long posts to get my sketch cards posted. Then I'll be back to shorter posts. Enjoy your day!

Merry Christmas...and sketches 123-129

My craft group met for our December get-together last weekend so I got busy making cards for them and also moving along on my goal of finishing the OWH sketches by the end of the year. All of these cards use only Bazzill papers except for the card bases. I'll give the extra details on each card as we move down the list. It's a rather long post, so bear with me!

Sketch 123: The snowflake is an EK Success punch and the brad is Recollections. The sentiment is from Fiskars.

Sketch 124: This one has all kinds of Bazzill layers. The sentiment is Fiskars and the pearl is Recollections. The sparkly ribbon I had on hand.

Sketch 125: I went a bit overboard with the Martha Stewart bling on this card, but it was fun to make some cards with lots of dimension because they didn't need to be mailed. The letters are from a retired Stampin' Up! set and the border punch is EK Success.

Sketch 126: I turned this one on it's side. The snowflakes are an EK Success punch and those gold star brads are some I had in my stash.

Sketch 127: Unfortunately, I have no idea where this cute digital penguin came from. It's labeled DSB June freebie Polly Penguin. It's colored with Copics and I added some googlie eyes. The ribbon is from my stash.

Sketch 128: Again, the snowflakes are an EK Success punch, as well as the wavy lines. Those cute little gold star brads from my very large collection of brads and eyelets.

Sketch 129: This card was made for someone who doesn't celebrate Christmas so I used some of the more generic papers in my Bazzill Christmas pack. The stamp and punches for the sentiment are Stampin' Up! Those clear gems are from my stash as is the ribbon. The corners were done with a Tonic punch.

Whew! We made it through lol. Have you been busy making holiday cards?

Sketches 120-122

Today I focused on using some pretty Purple Damask from Recollections. The first one, sketch 120, also uses some yellow and white Bazzill along with some black and silver cardstock. I pierced around the white oval (both ovals done with Nesties) and used my Copic black multiliner to give it a stitched look. The stamp is from Love by Little Yellow Bicycle and the lavender pearl is Queen & Co.

For sketch 121, I used the same papers (except the yellow). I did add some yellow, though, a yellow and black flower held together with a white brad. I'm still not sure if it needs a sentiment.

Sketch 122 is the last one for today. Again, I used the same papers. This time the sentiment is from Sassy Salutations by Stampin' Up! The silver embellishments are JoAnn Craft Essentials Metallic Dots. I love how flat they are.

Enjoy your day!

MWT...Sketch 118 and 119

This week the OWH MWT is to make a love/hug card. And I have two of them for you!

The first is sketch 118. The green circles (cut with Nesties) and green stripes are from the same piece of Colorbok paper. The white square is Bazzill layered with black cardstock. The stamps are from Love by Little Yellow Bicycle. I used a white gel pen and my Copic multiliner to add a bit more detail to the circles.

The second one is sketch 119. I used the same Colorbok paper as well as some green Bazzill and some black pearl and silver cardstock. The stamp is from the same Love set and the circles were all done with Nesties. The silver embellishments are JoAnn Craft Essentials Metallic Dots.

Don't forget to visit the other blogs and check out their great cards!

Sketches 114-117

Moving along with sketches today, I have four more for you. These all have the same basic elements. Green and white striped Colorbok paper. Purple Damask Recollections paper. Black pearl paper. Green and white Bazzil paper. Silver cardstock.

Sketch 114 and sketch 115: Love stamp set by Little Yellow Bicycle. Lavender pearls from Queen & Co.

Sketch 116: Love stamp set by Little Yellow Bicycle. JoAnn Craft Essentials Metallic Dots.

Sketch 117: I'm not sure where the stamp came from. I did two versions of this because I didn't like the first one which everyone else really liked. The first one has Recollections rivets. The second one has Studio 112 light green gems.

Enjoy your weekend!

Sektches 104, 112, 113

If I'm going to get all of the OWH sketches done by the end of the year, I guess I better speed things along! Today is for sketch 104, sketch 112 and sketch 113.

For sketch 104, I used Bazzill Christmas paper for the squares and mounted them on black cardstock. The red pearl paper is embossed with a snowflakes folder. The sentiment is from Fiskars and the ribbon is from my stash.

Next is sketch 112. This is the birthday card I made for my nephew. It featured the cute Build-an-Owl punch from Stampin' Up! It has some red pearl paper along with cream Bazzill and Little Yellow Bicycle Brown Geometric patterned paper. I used Nesties for the ovals and a sentiment from Stampendous. And, of course, the owl needed some googlie eyes.

The last one today is sketch 113. The cardstock is all Bazzill and the patterned paper is Basic Grey. The stamps are from Stampin' Up! and those pretty pearl embellishments came in a pack I got at my LSS.

Are you getting ready for the holidays? I have a play date with my mom next week to make Christmas cards. I like to address the envelopes first so I know how many cards I need.

Turkey coma!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family. I know I did. We ate and ate and then ate some more. I've only been able to eat an apple today lol.

Today I have a cute place card for you that I made for dinner last night. I made them for everyone, but when I went to take a picture of it, the camera was dead! So I had to take it with my phone and then send it to myself. I blame my turkey coma for posting it a day late.

I used scalloped Nesties for the feathers and my SU owl punch for the body. The first feather layer is DeNami gold, the second is SU designer paper, the body is brown Bazzill and the yellow is basic cardstock, as is the orange for his beak. I couldn't resist putting some big googlie eyes on him. The name is done with an alphabet set from Recollections.

I found my inspiration here if you'd like to check it out.

Enjoy your weekend!

Sketches 107-111

Here are some more sketches for you. They all have the same basic papers...Bazzill, Basic Grey Lime Rickey patterned paper and some black cardstock. The ink is all VersaFine Black Onyx and the dimensional adhesive is 3M.

Sketch 107: This one uses the SU Hostess set Carry On along with some baker's twin.

Sketch 108: I used the "Love" set from Little Yellow Bicycle for this sentiment. That pink bling is from my LSS, Scrap That! She has them at her "mbellies bar" in a pack of 30. At least I think it's 30. It's a great concept...little goblets with individual items you can buy by the piece.

Sketch 109: Another one using a couple of squiggly brads from Scrap That! This sentiment is from SU Sassy Salutations.

Sketch 110: I used Love from Little Yellow Bicycle again for this card. It has some more of that bright pink bling on the tabs that were punched with the SU Modern Label punch.

Sketch 111: Last one for today. This sentiment is also from Little Yellow Bicycle's Love set. I usually never think to use the bracket stamp, but it seemed to fit this one.

I hope you enjoyed all the cards I had for you today. I think one more will make that bright patterned paper go away lol.

Sketch 105 & 106

It's time to start working on sketches again. The first one today is sketch 105. I started with some pink Bazzill and started using up my two sheets of Basic Grey Lime Rickey patterned paper. The sentiment is from the set "Love" by Little Yellow Bicycle stamped in VersaFine Black Onyx. I used Nestabilities to cut out the circles and a hole punch on some of the Basic Grey for the little accent dots. The sentiment circles are popped with some 3M dimensional adhesive.

Sketch 106 is my second card for today. I used the same papers for this one, with the addition of some magenta Bazzill. The stamp is from the same set as well. I cut out some of the circles from the Basic Grey paper and mounted them on some black circles I cut with Nestabilities. This time I accented the middle of the circles with some Pearl Pen.

I hope you're enjoying your weekend.
